Thanks, I appreciate it.

I'm considering the possibility of reworking it and other things sometime. Because, well, a blog is rather bland, and I'd like to show I'm capable of more than that. I always have various backburner projects I refuse to talk about.

The style will be similar though, because I think I'm already onto something good. This may be cause of intermittent radio silence on my part in the future.

Complete and utter newfag here, just found the site through imageboards.net
Probably shouldn't even have the right to voice my opinion about this but here it is anyway..

THE FONT FUKKEN SUCKS! Just 1 sentence takes my entire monitor width and the background image makes the focus point of your board centered in the middle of the screen! It's unusable!

To make it better, you should put the text on the right side of the post's image or have a limit to a post's width!!
Long live Mootxico!!!!!

Pigeons are actually supposed to be pretty smart. If I ever move to a big city I might try to raise some.

I've aligned the text to the right of thumbnails now, and done a few more little things to save on some space. Thanks, it was something I should have thought to do sooner.

>the background image makes the focus point of your board centered in the middle of the screen!

Still not sure what you mean by this. Maybe it isn't apparent to me since I'm on a smaller screen.

The problem is that the focal point of the page is the background and not the posts in front of it.
Even just making the post boxes opaque with inspect element helped a lot (at least for me)

You could also try changing the opacity of the image's box shadows when they are not enlarged, 50% transparency looks pretty good (and actually looks like a shadow instead of a solid object)

Overall, the site already looks a lot better than when I made my other post. Good going.

Well, I've made the posts completely opaque, and made shadows all around a bit milder. I'd agree it looks a bit better.

>Overall, the site already looks a lot better than when I made my other post.

Thanks, I'm open to any feedback and I'm acutely aware I don't know what I'm doing.

the "m" letters look odd, especially in the name fields

In my opinion the board links at the top should probably send you to the board's index page and not the catalog, but maybe it's just a personal preference

Also, could you tell me why there are so many boards when the site has so few visitors? I've never understood this about alt-chans and would like to hear your reasoning about it. Hell, my alt-chan's a single board lel

There is also the small issue of there not being spaces between the thread #, the "watch thread" button and the "reply" button

personally i'd say there is a sensible amount of boards, regardless of how many visitors this site gets; its good to segregate conversation into key topics, any less and it would be a bit more chaotic.

I do agree with the links at the top taking you to the index rather than the catalogue, since usually you'd want to go to that board directly when using those navigation links.
Asides from that, this is certainly one of my favourite image boards out there, and i love the unique theme

Yeah, a bit squished I suppose. That being said I don't want to use plain serif/monospace either, I still like the look of the font overall. I'm open to changing it though if you know a similar font that's better, fixing that issue.

>In my opinion the board links at the top should probably send you to the board's index page and not the catalog, but maybe it's just a personal preference

Yeah pretty much, I and some others prefer it but it's not a big deal either way.

>Also, could you tell me why there are so many boards when the site has so few visitors? I've never understood this about alt-chans and would like to hear your reasoning about it.

Having boards for a particular topic encourage people to discuss it more often, whereas with only a single board it may tend towards being more generalised. So: variety. I wanted to avoid spreading it too thin though, at the moment I think it's okay.

>There is also the small issue of there not being spaces between the thread #, the "watch thread" button and the "reply" button

Fixed

I still don't know what I'm doing with my life, and everything feels pretty repetitive, but I'm actively working on it. Day to day living is pretty okay, I can't complain much.
